I started my accounting career with Albrecht, Viggiano, Zureck & Co., PC in Hauppauge as an intern and worked my way to Manager of Business Valuation and Litigation Support Services. After 10 years, I decided to make a move to Markowitz, Fenelon & Bank, LLP and am now an Accountant/Valuation Analyst focusing primarily on business valuation and litigation support on the eastern end of Long Island. I love working with and helping clients and have experience in a variety of industries, such as manufacturing and engineering firms, real estate, construction, nursery and equipment sales and rental, law firms, wineries, not-for-profits and certain municipalities. I am a co-founder and current member of our firm’s Quality Control Committee.

One of my main focuses right now along with my Presidency role is to help develop our NYSSCPA membership (which includes CPAs and non-CPAs) on the eastern end of Long Island. I am learning about the different organizations, networking groups and culture out here and have been working with my co-chair and the rest of our committee to provide venues for bringing us all together throughout the year.

 

Within the community, I most enjoy the LICH’s Backpack Pirates annual event, in which approximately 100 volunteers spend the day with 400-500 homeless children doing activities such as face painting, story time telling, archery and basketball, and running through the sprinklers. It feels so good to give back to those in need.
